Lake Martin – December 10, 2016

Christian Bassmen fished Lake Martin on December 10th.  The temperature at prayer time was a cool 29 degrees, the wind was light but, overall it turned out to be a good day of fishing.  The bite was slower then it has been at Martin for the last few weeks but,  almost all anglers still brought in a good  limit.  Some fish were caught with deep jigs while most were caught with plastics such as worms and creature baits.

Lake Mitchell – November 12, 2016

Christian Bassmen fished Mitchell Lake on November 12th.  The temperature was down to 47 degrees at the start, but the day warned up and conditions were great. Several limits were caught with most anglers reporting catching lots of fish, but the quality bites were hard to find. Fish were caught on a variety of techniques from square bills, jerk baits, and spinner baits. A lot of different plastics caught the majority of fish, everything from lizards, creature baits and worms was used.

Coosa River – Wetumpka September 10, 2016

Congratulations to Wes Scardina! Wes took first place with a 5 fish limit of 10.89.  Wes was the only angler to bring in a five fish limit.  Ralph Pierce finished second with 7.47 and big fish honors of 4.19.  The temperature was mild in the morning turning hot latter in the day which made finishing tougher as the sun came out.

Lake Jordan August 13, 2016

Lake Jordan proved to be very stingy.  We fished from 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM.  The weather remained overcast most of the day with the temperature mild.  Don Johnson topped out the day with the only five fish limit weighing 9.17.

Lake Martin – July 9, 2016

The club elected to fish a night tournament on Lake Martin to avoid the heat of the day. We had 9 members and one guest come out to fish from 2:00 to 9:00 AM. The water temp was a steamy 86 degrees which made the fishing slow and only 3 members managed to catch a limit. The top three anglers were Bryan Selix, Steve Harris and Don Johnson.

Alabama River – June 11, 2016

Congratulations to Steve Drinnon.  Steve took first place with a bag of 7.09.  Wes Scardina was a close second with a bag of 7.03 and big fish of 3.4.  Most members caught short fish making for a very difficult day on the Alabama River with only Wes getting his five fish limit.

Lay Lake- May 14, 2016

Christian Bassmen fished Lay Lake on May 14th.  Weather conditions were great.  Unfortunately the scales malfunctioned before we could weigh all of the fish.  Points will be awarded only for attending the May meeting but,  no points will be awarded for the May tournament.

Thank you for all guest and members for coming out. Please join us next month for our tournament on the Alabama River out of the Swift Creek Ramp.
